(JACKSONVILLE, Fla.) – On July 25, Leroy McCarty and his wife Fonda will be joining forces to open and run their Experimac, the new concept that provides pre-owned computers and devices; repair and upgrade services for laptops, phones and tablets; trade-ins of existing devices; and sales of accessories. Located at 1650 San Pablo Rd. S suite 14, McCarty is bringing the newest concept from industry veteran United Franchise Group to serve customers throughout Northeast Florida by providing popular Apple® devices at prices far below retail prices.
Before opening his own business, Leroy served in the U.S Navy and Army for 13 years and deployed to Iraq 4 times. McCarty enlisted as an Aviation Ordnance man in May 2001, just a few months before September 11th. He was stationed in Japan onboard the CV-63USS Kitty Hawk where he served for three years before being moved to Bremerton, WA and then to Norfolk, VA. While in Norfolk, Leroy took part in a program called “Blue to Green” and changed services and enlisted in the Army. While in the Army he was stationed in Vilseck, Germany as a Signal Support Specialist 25U and then in Hawaii for five years before he and Fonda, who also served in the U.S Navy for eight years as an Aviation Machinist Mate, moved to Jacksonville.
“After learning about Experimac I came away convinced that it was going to be the next big thing in computers,” said Leroy. “I am already the guy in the neighborhood that everyone brings computers to for repairing so I knew this would be the perfect fit for me and Fonda.”
The newest addition to the United Franchise Group, a family of brands that includes industry standouts such as Signarama, EmbroidMe and SuperGreen Solutions, Experimac is backed by a reputation of business success. This, said Leroy, gave him confidence in the concept as a viable career choice.
“I grew up in a low income family but never let anything down so I am looking forward to offering top of the line products for affordable prices,” said Leroy, “ Giving back to the community is very important to me and Fonda. We will be sponsoring a local little league team and will be providing our support to an organization that helps children that have lost loved ones to violence.”
Experimac is the latest addition to the United Franchise Group family of brands, joining a team with over 30 years of franchise experience. Capitalizing on a sustained demand for Apple® products, Experimac provides pre-owned computers and devices, repair of laptops, phones and tablets, trade-ins of existing devices, sales of accessories and software and upgrades.
