Tech Tip: NEW YEAR NEW YOU NEW APPS!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

After the confetti has been cleared from the streets and the crystal ball stored away for another year, resolutions have been made, posted online and are in the process of fulfillment.

For many people, exercising, saving money and reducing stress are top priorities. Luckily there are a few apps that can aid in accomplishing those resolutions.

Here are a few of Experimac Midtown Atlanta’s favorites:

  1. Apps like 30Day Fitness Challenges are designed to ease you back in to an active life. This app focuses on one exercise that uses your own bodies weight and begins with low repetitions and gradually increases over the course of 30 days. You should have a noticeable improvement at the end of each month. The areas of focus can change and you can also change the level of intensity from beginner to intermediate and then to advanced, so you have plenty of room to develop.
  2. Digit is an app that helps you save money. Digit moves small amounts of money from your bank account to your digit savings account. This is done daily and the amounts are small enough where it won’t cause an overdraft in your account. The acorn app is the app that rounds up the cost of your purchases and uses the collective difference as a means to invest. So essentially whenever you purchase something the cost is rounded up to the nearest dollar and the amount that is over the actual cost of your purchase is saved and invested for you.
  3. The Headspace app uses conventions such as screen dimming and notification blocking as just a few of the means to help you de-stress by crafting a phone life balance. Meditation Studio is another app option to help with stress. This app provides both guided and unguided meditations that cover topics such as pep talks, slowing down, profound relaxation and more.

Happy New Year and please let us know your thoughts about these new Apps.

Neil Kent, of Experimac Sandy Springs, GA was recently featured in an article by the Examiner.com. In the article, Neil talks about his experiences at Apple, and his new career as an Experimac franchisee.

Kent is the perfect person to open this “first ever” franchise.

With five years as a senior manager for Apple, Kent worked to promote some of the same products he will now be offering at Experimac. The store is located at 5920 Roswell Rd. Suite B-115, technically in Sandy Springs, but easily access from anywhere in the metro area.

“Nearly every aspect of my career has had a significant presence of Apple® devices in some way,” explains Kent. “I loved my career, but it became apparent that it was time for a career change. My experience working with Apple® was just one of many reasons why Experimac stood out as the perfect opportunity for me. I love being at the cutting edge of technology and Apple® platforms have always represented the peak of advanced computing. I’ve quit a job because they wouldn’t let me use Apple® products, which says it all about my dedication to the brand.”

Experimac will now be a part of Kent’s United Franchise Group.

“There’s such an incredible demand for Apple® products, but the reality is they’re often expensive when purchased new,” said Kent. “There’s a large audience that wants those products but cannot afford the latest versions. People don’t fully realize that you can go back a few generations of Apple® products and still have an effective product. This is what makes Experimac such an intriguing brand. I’m proud to be the first of what stands to be many Experimac locations around the country.”
