Coming Soon Experimac Kennesaw

Barry & Tara Barnett were recently featured in East Cobber, in the article they talk about Experimac Kennesaw, the new Experimac location they are opening in Kennesaw, GA.

When Barry Barnett and his wife, Tara, decided to go into business together, they didn’t want to own just any business. They started by looking at different options for buying a franchise and settled on Experimac Kennesaw.

“As we began to work with a franchise broker (Find Your Franchise, Inc.), Experimac was one of the first brands introduced after understanding our backgrounds and interests,” said Barry Barnett. “We were hesitant to decide so quickly, so we continued to look at about a dozen other brands. We kept coming back to Experimac!”

Experimac is a company that buys and sells pre-owned Apple® products and offers repair services. No doubt, the fact that Barnett’s family has owned numerous Apple products helped them make their decision.

“Over the years, our family has owned iMacs, MacBook Air laptops, iPhones, iPads, iPods, etc.,” said Barnett. “So we are absolutely believers in the product.”

They were also drawn to Experimac’s business model.

“Experimac is such a compelling business model focused on growing ownership of Apple® products and providing existing owners an alternative Apple® experience,” said Barnett. “We offer a one-stop home for Apple® quality and value.”

Barnett sees the growing prevalence of technology as something that can only help him in his new business venture.

“It’s amazing how technology is expanding in and out of the classroom,” said Barnett. “The pre-owned options we have in stock will absolutely meet the needs of students as well as adults for personal and professional needs.”

The benefit to owning a franchise is the franchise owners can focus on building relationships in their community while leveraging the franchisor’s core support capabilities. That focus on community is exactly what Barnett plans to bring to the table.

PRE-OWNED APPLE® DEVICE BUSINESS EXPERIMAC DEBUTS IN CUMMING

EMPTY NESTERS FIND NEW CONCEPT AND LIFE EXCITING

(CUMMING, Georgia)— Travis and Becky Howe will be opening their pre-owned Apple® device reseller Experimac at 1586 Market Place Blvd in June. Opening the third franchise in this new but blossoming chain, the couple will provide high-demand Apple® devices like its iPhone®, iPad® and MacBook® lines at costs significantly less than their new retail price equivalents, as well as repair and upgrade services, product resale and more.

With over 25 years of senior management experience, Travis Howe’s titles have included president, divisional vice president, sales and marketing vice president and more. When the last company he worked for declared bankruptcy, however, he decided he had had enough of the corporate grind and opted for a business that was truly his.

“I was immediately grabbed by Experimac’s unique approach and felt there was a big hole in the market in offering pre-owned Apple® products at the retail level,” said Howe. “Experimac fills that hole by giving customers eager for Apple® devices a level of access to them that they might not otherwise have.”

A recent addition to United Franchise Group, the family of brands with over 30 years of franchising experience, Experimac is a rapidly expanding concept. United Franchise Group plans to open 25 Experimac stores by the end of 2015, and plans to have 100 by the end of 2016.

While many other 62-year-olds might immediately dismiss the thought of starting their own business, Travis Howe is optimistic as he plots his company’s future. His decision to own his own business, he says, is coming at exactly the right time in his life.

“When I really think about it, the time is perfect,” said Travis Howe. “Our kids are out of college and I still have a lot of drive to do something new. Becky and I have been fully engaged and excited about the opportunity, especially as it’s something that we can do together. To be able to not only start my own business, but do so with an exciting new concept like the one Experimac provides, is a far more appealing option than retirement.”

Experimac Sandy Springs Featured in Examiner.com

Neil Kent, of Experimac Sandy Springs, GA was recently featured in an article by the Examiner.com. In the article, Neil talks about his experiences at Apple, and his new career as an Experimac franchisee.

Kent is the perfect person to open this “first ever” franchise.

With five years as a senior manager for Apple, Kent worked to promote some of the same products he will now be offering at Experimac. The store is located at 5920 Roswell Rd. Suite B-115, technically in Sandy Springs, but easily access from anywhere in the metro area.

“Nearly every aspect of my career has had a significant presence of Apple® devices in some way,” explains Kent. “I loved my career, but it became apparent that it was time for a career change. My experience working with Apple® was just one of many reasons why Experimac stood out as the perfect opportunity for me. I love being at the cutting edge of technology and Apple® platforms have always represented the peak of advanced computing. I’ve quit a job because they wouldn’t let me use Apple® products, which says it all about my dedication to the brand.”

Experimac will now be a part of Kent’s United Franchise Group.

“There’s such an incredible demand for Apple® products, but the reality is they’re often expensive when purchased new,” said Kent. “There’s a large audience that wants those products but cannot afford the latest versions. People don’t fully realize that you can go back a few generations of Apple® products and still have an effective product. This is what makes Experimac such an intriguing brand. I’m proud to be the first of what stands to be many Experimac locations around the country.”
